Cloned on March 4, 2020 from https://github.com/gperftools/gperftools, branch master (b7607ee).
Then executed ./autogen.sh.
Does not seem to be actively maintained.

Build like this:

cd mcell_tools/work/build_mcell/
mkdir -p libs/build_gperftools
cd libs/build_gperftools
../../../../mcell/libs/gperftools/configure --prefix=`pwd`/install_gperftools
make install
